Mentor Program

EOP provides mentorship services in the Fall, Spring, & Summer semesters. 

Our mentor program offers positive, active and experiential mentoring by pairing students with experienced EOP students. Our hope is to increase EOP student achievement by engaging in co-curricular participation with peers, faculty and staff. Follow our Instagram for program activities and updates.

My name is Faith and I am a Lead Mentor for EOP at San Francisco State University. I am a Filipina and was born and raised right here in SF - As a first generation college student, I understand the difficulty that comes with our experiences as we try to navigate higher education. As your mentor, my objective is to guide you in the right direction and do the best that I can to support you. My ultimate goal as your mentor is to make sure that you know that you are cared for not only as a scholar but also as a person. I am here to listen and guide you the best way that I can. I am grateful and excited to be placed in a position that allows me with the opportunity to be a part of your journey here at SFSU.

I'm a San Francisco native and transfer student from City College of San Francisco. Most importantly as a first generation college student, want to start new generational traditions. I'm majoring in Social Work and I am currently in my senior year of completing my BASW. I love helping others and have a passionate about the criminal justice system and prison reform. Lastly I am also the mother of three beautiful little boys.

My major is Creative Writing, so I love writing poetry. I also love singing and dancing to Latin music.
